Welcome to the WeatherMatrix WM-918 / WX-200 Weather Station page.

This station is manufactured by a company in Hong Kong called IDT. It was then resold to Radio Shack (it has since been discontinued and is no longer supported), Oregon Scientific, and Huger.

In 1998 the station got a cult following and an explosion of weather station software for it took place as people scrambled to get their weather station data onto the Internet. Here are some links that resulted from that ubiquity.

WeatherMatrix obtained a WX-200 from Radio Shack in Summer 1997 and, after it was installed here, it became one of the first weather stations to upload its data to the internet, through manual screen captures (there was no weather station software that supported internet uploads at the time). The station is still running at WeatherMatrix HQ but is not currently uploading to the Internet.
