Davis Inc. was one of the first and most successful companies in selling Electronic Weather Stations in the 1980's and 1990's. Their Weather Wizard and Weather Monitors stations are a classic for the weather watcher. They are still available from Davis Inc. for purchase but they are going forward with a new line of stations called "VantagePro" which will eventually replace these classic stations.

WeatherMatrix obtained a Weather Wizard II station (the model without wind direction, no longer available) for use in our Storm Chase vehicle in early 1998. It is currently hooked up at WeatherMatrix HQ but is not broadcasting to the Internet.
