Mobile Laptop Car Cam

Status: 08/01/05: We are back online, on vacation and transmitting wirelessly from the beach!

CONCEPT: This will be similar to John's but will be done with Verizon Express Network (see map of my area, the Northeast), a high speed 2.5G network. I estimate getting this one online in late 2003. Because I have chosen to do my mobile work with a PocketPC instead of a laptop and can't afford another 2.5G connection, this cam will probably stay proof-of-concept for my purposes. Could be used as a Vacation Cam with shots from the car or Storm Chase Cam when I pursue severe storms locally.

Status: 10/18/04: The dream is over... not only has the battery in my laptop failed (which makes it much more troublesome and time consuming to startup the laptop), but my camera/pda mount for the car snapped and broke. Offline until I can afford another one. You can view the archives by date.
