WEATHER HIGHLIGHTS BY ACCU WEATHER 
 
Severe Weather Reports on Saturday:
 
-A tornado touched down near Racine, Mo., and killed 10 people. It 
damaged and destroyed numerous buildings.
 
-Five people were killed by a tornado that touched down in Picher, 
Okla., where structures were seriously damaged across 20 blocks.
 
-A tornado struck many residences between Seneca and Neosho, Mo. 
Three fatalities and numerous injuries were reported. Highway 60 was 
closed due to debris over the road.
 
-One person was killed by a tornado that touched down near Purdy, 
Mo., and it damaged many homes, trailer homes, a church and 
outbuildings.                      
 
-A tree landed on a trailer house near Carthage, Mo., killing one 
person.                            
 
-A tornado damage path was about three quarters of a mile wide along 
the Kansas and Oklahoma state line.
 
-Thunderstorm wind gusts reached 70 mph at Parsons Tri City Airport 
in Kansas.                         
 
-Extensive structural damage was reported in Granby, Mo., including a 
30 by 40 foot building that was destroyed.
 
-Baseball-sized hail pounded Joplin, Mo.
 
-Two houses were struck by lightning and caught on fire in 
Battlefield, Mo., and near Lebanon, Mo.
 
-Downtown Little Rock, Avilla, Bentonville and Rogers, Ark., were all 
hit by severe storms that dumped golf ball-sized hail.
 
-A possible tornado near Dublin, Ga., destroyed several homes; 1 
person has been reported injured.  
 
-Golf ball-sized hail hammered Gray, Ga.
