Inside the Dome... Photos from Inside a NEXRAD Radar

In Winter 2001, WeatherMatrix Sean Bowser was lucky enough to get to visit the Black Moshannon (Central Pennsylvania / State College) NEXRAD site in Black Moshannon State Park in Central Pennsylvania. As part of his meteorology studies at Penn State University, students were shown the NEXRAD dome and were taken inside to see the individual parts that make up the weather radar.

If you want to see similar photos and find out what all these things do, visit the Lexta NEXRAD Tour page.
