ThunderCall - Weather Warnings By PHONE

There is a new and truly unique service out there which will help to safeguard you and your family in the event of severe weather in your area 7 days a week 24 hours a day. Now, you can sleep assured with severe weather protection around the clock -- without difficult configuration of devices or worrying about dead batteries.

There are many different ways for you to be alerted of weather warnings these days. It wasn't always like that. But through all the modern technologies, one obvious method had been left out - the good old phone call. Now you can be alerted to severe weather warnings by phone via ThunderCall, in partnership with WeatherMatrix.

How does ThunderCall work?

The call comes through for four different types of warnings, recorded in the the voice of the WeatherMatrix Founder Jesse Ferrell (click here for a sample). If you're not home, ThunderCall will leave a message on your answering machine or voice mail. Each subscription benefits WeatherMatrix by donating a small part of the proceeds to our monthly website costs.

ThunderCall Is an early warning system designed to deliver severe weather warnings to your telephone or cell phone within seconds after being issued by the National Weather Service (NWS). Subscribers to ThunderCall service receive recorded message alerts anytime severe weather threatens their local area... 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.

ThunderCall utilizes state of the art satellite equipment to capture severe weather warnings within seconds after they are issued by local National Weather Service (NWS). ThunderCall computers instantly interpret each bulletin to determine the severity of the warning and the exact area(s) affected. If the NWS bulletin has identified a severe storm the ThunderCall system creates a calling database of all ThunderCall subscribers in the potential path of the storm.

ThunderCall utilizes a massive network of computerized dialers connected to thousands of telephone lines. The dialing speed of ThunderCall makes it possible to call our subscribers within seconds after a warning is issued for their area (over one million can be delivered per day). ThunderCalls are delivered so quickly they often arrive before any other warnings are made public… usually before weather radio broadcasts! In situations where minutes matter and seconds count, ThunderCall stands alone as the best way to protect your family from the threat of severe weather.

BUT I ALREADY HAVE A WEATHER RADIO OR OTHER WARNING DEVICE...

With ThunderCall there is no equipment to buy, no batteries to replace, and you can receive the alert from any room in your house (with a telephone) OR on the road via your cell phone (assuming you are in an area that can receive normal phone calls). ThunderCall can also be set up to warn you about severe weather anywhere in the country, not just your local area.
