The Top Weather Events Of The Century |
|
In late 1999, weathercasters across the US took occasion to look back at the first 100 years with complete weather records and pick out the most terrible and extreme weather and climate events of that time period. This page chronicles them. Our hope is to have this page link in every Top list that exists. If you know of one we don't have, contact CASI. This page will be updated when necessary. Many organization, such as National Weather Service Local Offices and Universities have taken it upon themselves to list their state's Top Weather Events of the Century. Pick from one of the available states below. New states added 12/17/99! Some CASI Members have taken it upon themselves to detail their "Top X Events" for their area.
Additionally, many weather organizations have issued their estimates on the "worst weather of the century." Pick from the links below to see their reports.
