Hidi-ho good neighbors. Greeting from the high desert of the mid-Atlantic.
After a record dry September my homestead in the hills saw a near record wet
October. Go figure. Until later...........

Observer Notes
October 5 - Min temperature of 66 degrees is a new daily high smashing the
previous record of 60 degrees set in 1995.

October 7 - Min temperature of 70 degrees is a new daily high smashing the
previous record of 59 degrees set in 1998. It is also a new record min
temperature for the month of October surpassing 69 degrees set on October 4, 2002.
Rainfall of 2.90 inches is a daily high smashing the previous record of 0.03 of an
inch set in 1998.

October 11 - Min temperature of 58 degrees ties the daily high set in 2002.

October 14 - Min temperature of 57 degrees is a new daily high surpassing 57
degrees set in 1995.

October 15 - Wind gust of 46 mph.

October 21 - Max temperature of 51 degrees is a new daily low surpassing 55
degrees set in 2004.

October 22 - Max temperature of 53 degrees is a new daily low surpassing 54
degrees set in 2004.

October 25 - Min temperature of 48 degrees is a new daily low surpassing 48
degrees set in 2002. A trace of snowfall is a new daily high for the date.

October 2005 is the third warmest on record.
