Hidi-ho good neighbors. Greetings from the high desert of the mid Atlantic.
Today is day number 26 with no measurable precipitation. That is now the second
longest such streak on record surpassing 25 such days set on August 14 -
September 7, 1995. It is still short of the over all record of 38 consecutive days
with no measurable rain fall set during October 17 - November 23, 2001.
Two other minor records fell in recent days.
September 22 - Min temperature of 67 degrees ties the daily high set on
several occasions and last set in 2002.
September 23 - Min temperature of 62 degrees is a new daily high surpassing
60 degrees set in 1980.
Models are showing four-tenths of an inch of rain possible for my homestead
in the hills in the next couple of days. I will believe that when I see it.
