Last Week, the Eastern Mediterranean countries (Jordan, Lebanon, Syria,
Israel and the West Bank) got a heat wave. Temperatures increased over most
parts of these regions, as example, Amman got 38.2c on Saturday 13, May 2005
(The peak of the heat wave). Over the coast of Syria, Lebanon and Israel the
weather was very noisy because the high temperatures and high humidity.
Mid-levels humidity accompnied the heat wave over southern and eastern parts
of Jordan, caused some local middle-based thunderstorms, which produced some
local rain showers in the afternoon of each day of the heat wave. The heat
wave started to relief early on Saturday 20, May 2005. This the first heat
wave in this summer in Eastern Mediterranean Contries.
