Temperatures yesterday were over 100 in every state west of the Mississippi
except for the Northern Tier states.

Heat advisories are covering most of the Mississippi Valley states for Sunday.

Missouri & Illinois seem to be getting the worst of it:
"HOT AND HUMID WEATHER CONTINUES ACROSS CENTRAL AND EASTERN MISSOURI.
HEAT INDEX READINGS BETWEEN 105 AND 115 HAVE BEEN QUITE COMMON...AND
THE HEAT INDEX HAS RISEN OVER 120 DEGREES IN ISOLATED SPOTS. SUNDAY
STILL LOOKS TO BE THE HOTTEST DAY YET AS AIR TEMPERATURES ARE
EXPECTED TO SOAR TO 100 DEGREES OR HIGHER OVER MOST OF THE AREA
