"Temperatures were just above freezing around Lake Tahoe and the
precipitation there was falling as rain at daybreak before sunshine
dispersed the clouds.
Wind marked the approach of the storm, with gusts to 80 mph on Slide
Mountain, next to Mount Rose. A 63 mph gust was recorded in Gardnerville."
