The blazing heat wave continues across many parts of India and
Pakistan as several locations easily soared above 100 degrees
again on Saturday. A selected few locations where even hotter as
afternoon high temperatures surpassed the 110 degree mark, some
locations were Nawabshah, Pakistan 116, Nagpur, India 115, Guna,
Jabalpur and Jharsuguda, India 113 and Sholapur, India at 112.
More extremely hot weather is expected once again on Sunday.
A major drought has gripped the Northern Territory of Australia.
There has been only 1.5 inches of rain since last June. This region
of Australia is on the verge of its driest 12 months on record. Such
dry conditions have not been seen since the early 1960s.
The atmosphere remains quite rich in moisture across Honduras
as showers and thunderstorms unleashed bursts of heavy rainfall
over a few cities on Saturday. Puerto Lempira received 2.00 inches
of rain as La Esperanza had 2.44 inches. Some higher rainfall
totals were recorded such as in Amapala were the rain totaled 4.33
inches and Tegucigalpa received 5.56 inches.
