It's always bad when you see an Excessive Heat Warning issued for the
California or Arizona deserts :)

"A MAJOR WARMING TREND WILL BEGIN TODAY WITH MOST LOWER ELEVATION
DESERTS REACHING 100 DEGREES. SOME HIGH TEMPERATURES EXPECTED ON
FRIDAY INCLUDE 107 AT PHOENIX SKY HARBOR AIRPORT...YUMA AND AT
PARKER...108 DEGREES AT GILA BEND AND BLYTHE CALIFORNIA. AT LEAST
SEVERAL DEGREES OF ADDITIONAL WARMING IS ANTICIPATED FRIDAY FOR
RECORD OR NEAR RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURES. EVEN WARMER TEMPERATURES
