A severe storm has repeatedly doused the area east of Plainview, Texas this
evening, and is only slowly moving away now.
Radar estimates show 14.9" or 16.3" depending on which radar you ask.

At 7:20 PM, the National Weather Service noted "NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE
DOPPLER RADAR COMBINED WITH SATELLITE INDICATED 6 TO 8 INCHES OF RAIN HAVE
FALLEN SINCE 3 PM. THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL IS ALONG A SETH WARD TO SILVERTON
AXIS. ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES ARE LIKELY AS
HEAVY THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE TO TRAIN OVER THE SAME REGION."
