Our local paper reports "Snow falling at a rate of up to 2 inches an hour
will make driving "horrible" this afternoon, forecasters said, and
gust-driven drifts in sub-zero wind chills tonight and Sunday morning will
make it "very dangerous" to be outside. "This'll be a nasty one,"
AccuWeather.com meteorologist Henry Margusity said Friday. "The road crews
have a major battle on their hands tomorrow." Valley-floor roads such as
state Route 45 through Penns Valley and Nixon Road in Ferguson Township
will be especially susceptible to heavy drifting as winds of up to 35 mph
blow fluffy snow "all over the place," Margusity said. Statewide, PennDOT
will have more than 2,300 plow trucks, 520 front-end loaders and 22 snow
blowers in service."

The Weather Channel on-air noted that they expect the pressure to fall to
near 28.80" as this Nor'easter blows up and the pressure gradient is
already getting pretty packed across Pennsylvania.
