We here had a mix of preciptiation with a majority being snow, 2.5
inches measured by ruler in the back yard of my residence (see
profile for exact location). Last night all scraped surfaces froze to
a sheet of .25 inch of ice with the deteriorating accumiliation of
snow already on the ground. Travel was treacherous nontheless. At
my work last night unless there was life endangerment, including
calls of various natures, ie. larceny/shoplifting in progress were
not responded to under authority of the Chief of Police. It made for
a very "slow" night to say the least. Overall my area seem the be
the cutoff if you will for the heavier precipitation where Smithfield
recieved 3.5 inches of measureable snow under and over a .25 layer of
sleet that has now frozen solid from the evening air. Any questions
please feel free to contact me as needed but this is probably a
repeat of things you already area aware of. Please be careful if you
MUST travel, do so with extreme CAUTION..
