Here at WeatherMatrix HQ in State College, PA, we are currently -2 degrees
F. This is the second coldest temperature ever observed at this station
(the coldest was set 1/10/04), which has a 7.5 year period of record. It is
VERY unusual if unprecedented for it to be this cold in December. Our
wind chill fell to -32 F (old formula) at 3:20 am, which is in the top 5
coldest wind chills ever observed at this station.
