The chances of a white Christmas are up in the air, but forecasters predict measurable accumulation from a storm expected to hit the
area Sunday.

The National Weather Service is calling for several inches, anywhere from 3 to 6 inches, in the valleys with amounts higher by
several inches along the peaks, especially near the Tennessee border.

"It is going to come mainly late Sunday and Sunday night," said Doug Outlaw, meteorologist with the Weather Service Office at Greer,
S.C. "There is a possibility of several inches of snow for the Hendersonville area and of course more in those higher elevations
toward Mount Pisgah Bearwallow (Mountain)."

The Weather Service on Thursday was predicting a 60 percent chance of snow showers Sunday afternoon and evening. A cold front is
expected to move through the area late Sunday morning, dropping temperatures to the low 30s.

Lows are expected to dip to 15 to 20 Sunday night and near 15 on Monday night, with windy conditions making it feel much colder.

The chance of snow showers is expected to enter the picture Sunday morning and increase in the afternoon and evening. Monday is
forecast to be very wintry, with a 30 percent chance of snow, windy conditions and highs only in the upper 20s. Wind chill values
Sunday night and Monday night are expected to be below zero.

When you say the "SNOW" word around here, you'd better get to the grocery store ASAP or the shelves WILL be stripped of all the
bread, water, milk and eggs!

God Bless!
