We are experiencing unusually warm conditions in Central Pennsylvania
tonight, especially considering the cool weather we have had this month.
I have achieved my highest temperature for this month of October tonight at
11pm, October 30. The temperature at WeatherMatrix HQ is 72. Prior to
this evening, it had not gotten above 61 degrees this month! The reading
of 72 as we approach midnight is 12 degrees above the average HIGH
temperature for today.
Some areas of West Virginia are reporting 74 degrees, which is the warmest
in the entire nation with the exception of Southeast Texas, the extreme
Gulf Coast, and Florida.
