My inner ear tells me that it's that time of year folks, that the big
winter storms to start marching across the northern tier states. When I
was back in North Carolina, we didn't have any excuse to fall below 29.50"
for a barometer reading unless a hurricane was nearby. :)
Today the pressure has fallen as low as 990 mb (29.23"Hg) at Benton Harbor
MI (BEH) at 15Z today.

This has taken the national pressure average down from 1015 mb yesterday
(it was 1020 last week) to 1007 today.
