[STORMREPORTS] Sept. 2004 rainfall
September was an extremely contrasting month for rainfall here in Luzerne County PA. I measured 10.68 inches of rain for the month, which is the highest amount I ever measured in September. What is particularly interesting is that we had 23 days (of 30) with no measurable rain. 20 days were totally dry, while a trace was recorded on three days. Obviously, the remnants of Frances, Ivan and Jeanne really added up. The only rainfall for the month not related to a tropical system was this morning, and that only amounted to 0.21 inches. So on paper,it looked like a rainy month, but when the tropical systems were not dumping on us, it actually was quite tranquil.
I'm looking forward to the new WeatherMatrix. Congrats, Jesse!
