Hidi-ho good neighbors. Greetings from the flooded high desert of the mid
Atlantic. Looking at the models yesterday I was expecting most of the heavy rain
from Jeanne to move over the bay east of my homestead in the hills. Imagine my
surprise to see my dog's house floating by my bedroom window. The remnants of
Jeanne dropped 4.14 inches of rain on my station in the highlands of
Maryland. The second time a tropical system dropped 3.6+ inches on my homestead in
September. DC didn't miss out on all the precipitation as the weather station
here at DCA received 2.46 inches. Flooding of low lying areas has occurred along
with numerous traffic accidents but no major wide spread flooding. Until
later.......................
Jim
