Hi Everyone from Boynton Beach, Florida:
We are all okay here in Boynton Beach. We had no power this time for only 2
days. The good news is no real damage happened to our home again compared
to everyone elses around us. Almost every home around us is missing
shingles, parts of roofs gone , whole fences blown down, screen enclosures ripped
apart, tons of trees down, signs down, etc. Almost all of Palm Beach County
was without power at one time or another. Only half have gotten power back so
far. We are the lucky ones again. Many traffic signals are still out and
schools are still closed for the 9th day. A curfew during darkness is also
in effect.
We got pounded by the southern eyewall for many hours during Saturday night.
It was just relentless again.
My personal weather station hurricane stats:
Highest wind gust - 87 mph
Lowest pressure - 28.93"
Rainfall total - 4.69" , less rain due to the faster movement of this storm
than Frances
Take care,
Richie
