Here in the Bronx, New York the day featured tropical heavy Cu, TCu & some
CB's. We only received a light shower immediately before 3 p.m. with another
one traversing the area by 11:30 p.m.. Some CB mammatus was noted from a
separated anvil late in the afternoon. Then, about 2 a.m. this day there was
an area or line of CB capillatus running SSW-SE producing occasional vivid
DL. At 11 p.m. the wind was calm, but by the time the DL was noted the wind
had become steady from the NE as T.S. "Gaston" traverses into the Atlantic
