 Tropical Storm Estelle was nearly 1030 miles east-southeast of
Hilo, Hawaii, early Saturday morning, EDT. The storm as moving
west-northwest at 12 mph with winds sustained at 65 mph and gusts to
over 75 mph. The storm is expected to move towards the west-northwest
over the next 24-48 hours before turning east-southeast as it moves
south of Hilo, Hawaii.

 Temperatures in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan, were on quite a wild
ride Friday. The low early Friday dropped to 27 degrees, well below
the normal low of 44 degrees. And the high on Friday climbed to 70
degrees, near the normal high for the day, before thunderstorms
crossed through the area.

 Typhoon Chaba continues to move westward and gain strength over
the Pacific Ocean. Winds were sustained at 85 mph with gusts to
nearly 100 mph as of early Saturday morning, EDT. The storm was
centered more than 480 miles east of Agana, Guam. The storm continues
to move to the west at 13 mph. The storm is expected to strengthen as
it moves closer to Guam and could become a Super Typhoon. The storm
will cross the Northern Mariana Islands early Sunday morning, EDT.

 Newly upgraded Typhoon Aere is continuing to push towards the
northwest early Saturday morning, EDT. Aere was centered nearly 630
miles south-southeast of Naha, Okinawa, Japan, with sustained winds
of 75 mph and gusts to over 90 mph. Over the next 24-48 hours, the
storm will likely continue a northwestward movement before turning to
the northeast as it approaches Okinawa early next week.

 In Omure, Japan, rainfall of over 2.7 inches fell over the past
24 hours ending late Saturday evening, local time. In Kagoshima,
Japan, more than 1.0 inch of rain fell during the day Saturday. This,
in addition to the 2.2 inches of rain the past 3 days adds up to
nearly half of the monthly rainfall in just the past 3 days.
