[STORMREPORTS] Hurricane Charley Weather Report
At 8:15 pm the worst weather has passed the Plant City, FL. My maximum 3 minute sustained wind was from the NNW at 46 gust 62 mph, minimum barometric pressure was 29.58" and rainfall so far only 0.87".
We in the Tampa Bay area just missed a CAT 4-5 hurricane strike by the skin of our teeth. Boy was I nervous during the past 36 hours!!!!! There is nothing more terrifying then experiencing a couple of big hurricanes and surviving to see yet another one bearing down on you.
This will be my last weather post on Charley. I just hope that TD#4 & TD#5 go somewhere else.
Take Care,
NWS Tampa Bay, FL SKYWARN Observer # HIL-249
