Between 12:00 m and 10:00 am Tuesday morning 07/20/04 I've measured another 1.65" of rainfall. That gives me a 2 1/2 day rainfall total of 6.18" here in SW Plant City. Looking at the current radar image I could easily exceed 2" of rainfall again today.
The first half of July 2004 saw less then 1.00" of rainfall in the Plant City area, so early on flooding was not an issue. But with 6+" it's becoming a flooding
issue now. Looking at the NEXRAD radar totals, it pegs my location with 6+" and just to my SW in the Brandon/Valrico area 8-10" of rainfall has fallen, same with the Tarpon Springs/Clearwater area of Pinellas County.
My monthly rainfall total is now 7.59".
