In checking the weather conditions, for personal reasons, in Cancun
over the weekend, I was seeing tremendous amounts of rain being
reported on the NWS site. I'm talking rainfall totals of 54.00+" for
a 24 hour period, and, then the next report would show 20.00+". If
those reports were correct, the Cancun area received about 85.00" of
rain in a 3-4 day period. Infrared satellite pics was showing
phenomenal covection for several days over the same areas. I heard
the Weather Channel refer to the situation one time on Saturday, when
they were predicting 10.00+" inches of rain for Cancun. Has anyone
seen any reports from down that way? If those totals are anywhere
close to being accurate, they must be experiencing some serious
flooding. Any help on this will be appreciated.
