The NWS has issued the following report, noting the damage was from a
downburst:

"...Windstorm damage in Milesburg in Centre County...
The National Weather Service surveyed the downed trees in Milesburg
in Centre County Pennsylvania on may 27 and determined that the
damage was due to a severe thunderstorm downburst. According to
eyewitnesses at the scene...the event occurred just prior to 430 PM
EDT Wednesday may 26. Large hail accumulated several inches deep
while wind gusts were estimated around 60 mph. Although a very
strong thunderstorm crossed the area...there was no evidence of a
tornado.
The significant tree damage was limited to a small area on a
hillside. However several downed trees damaged a nearby residence
and demolished a shed. There were no injuries reported."
