"Caribbean floods claim over 500
Rescue teams in the Caribbean are searching for hundreds of missing people,
after heavy rains caused widespread floods and mudslides in the
neighbouring nations of the Dominican Republic and Haiti.
At least 502 people have been killed and hundreds missing following
torrential rains and flooding in Haiti and the Dominican Republic,
according to civil defense officials.
Some areas received 25 centimetres of rain in just 24 hours."
