Hidi-ho good neighbors. Greetings from the high desert of the mid Atlantic.
No final readings from my homestead in the hills. That will come later tonight
when I get home. Right now I am stuck at the weather station at DCA.
Preliminary reports from my neighbor of a funnel cloud forming just east of Ringgold,
MD. heading over my homestead and heading into Frederick County, MD. heading
towards Cascade and Emmitsburg, MD. which the NWS just issued a Tornado Warning
for. Preliminary wind gust of 78 mph at my homestead. Wide spread damage,
including damage to my home. My wife is working as an RN at Washington County
Hospital in near by Hagerstown, MD. The hospital has been put under a Red Alert as
a second tornado slammed into Hagerstown. She is spending the night at the
hospital now and the power is out and part of my roof is missing at my homestead
in the hills. I will be home at 12:30 AM and will give a better report. Until
