[STORMREPORTS] Arkansas Teen's Truck, Struck by Lightning, Burns

"Jeremy Devors, 17, could do nothing but stand back and watch his truck
burn Friday afternoon after the vehicle was struck by lightning.

Devors thinks the electrical system of his truck may have been damaged
earlier in the day when lightning struck near the vehicle as he pulled into
his grandmother's driveway, causing the truck to drag down and then
quit. He was able to restart the truck then.

But after the direct hit, smoke came from under the hood, then fire began
coming out of the left fender wall, causing the tires to start melting,
then explode, Devors said.

"Then it got into the cab, and the windows started blowing out," Devors
said. He said flames were shooting out the side windows of the truck, and
the vehicle was engulfed in flames until the firefighters put it out."
