As a native Minnesotan, it's morbidly exciting to report that
they hit the coveted -50 F this morning:

AN ARCTIC HIGH PRESSURE AREA WHICH REMAINED OVER THE NORTHERN PLAINS
STATES OVERNIGHT HAS CREATED MORNING LOW TEMPERATURES WHICH HAVE NOT
BEEN SEEN IN SEVERAL YEARS. THE FOLLOWING IS A LISTING OF STATIONS
WHO RECORDED MORNING LOWS OF -35 DEGREES OR COLDER THIS MORNING.
