Hidi-ho too neighbors. Greetings from the wind tunnel of the mid Atlantic. A
thunderstorm blew past my homestead in the hills this afternoon and at 1:28 PM
the wind gusted out of the south at 56 mph. This is fourth day this month
with a wind gust of 50+ mph, one day short of the record for any month. As
today's cold front moves across the region tonight the winds are forecasted to gust
above 40 mph so the record could be threatened tomorrow. The record of 2 days
in a month with 50+ mph winds held for 27 years and 2003 saw the record broken
earlier this year, then more than doubled in April, and possibly having the
new record tied. It is already the second wettest year on record and is far and
away the windiest. Until later...........
