early Saturday. Still 350 miles east of land, this cyclone is now
forecast to make landfall as a weak tropical low.
Heavy downpours pelted Caspian shores in northern Iran Friday and
Saturday. At Gharakhil, two-day rainfall was 5.7 inches. At Babol Sar,

Greater Mexico City dawned Saturday in a shroud of thick fog. At
the Licenciado Benito Juarez international airport, visibility was
nil for more than three hours. The fog lifted by midmorning, and
fine, hazy weather was enjoyed during the afternoon.
