A. Storm Damage
(Snyder County, 1000 a.m., 11/13/03) High winds damaged the roof on
Neal's garage in Middleburg Borough; no injuries were reported.
The incident was terminated at 600 p.m.
Notifications PEMA Central Regional Office
B. State Office Building Damaged
(Department of Environmental Protection Headquarters, 400 a.m.,
11/13/03) High winds damaged the roof of a state office building in Morris
Township, Clearfield County. The Department of General Services is
coordinating with the Department of Environmental Protection on recovery
efforts; no injuries were reported.
The incident was terminated at 358 p.m.

E. Road Closure
(Dauphin County, 1045 a.m., 11/13/03) State Route 39 was closed in Derry
Township due to downed trees and utility lines; no injuries were reported.
The incident was terminated at 1221 p.m.

F. Storm Damage
(Jefferson County, 1100 a.m., 11/13/03) High winds caused power outages
affecting approximately 350 Penelec customers in Valier Village in Perry
Township. The power company is working to restore all service.

Notifications Public Utility Commission and PEMA Western Regional Office
G. Power Outage
(Beaver County, 100 p.m., 11/13/03) High winds caused a power and
telephone outage that caused a temporary 911 telephone outage that affected
municipalities throughout Beaver County. The local utility provider
restored all service.
The incident was terminated at 230 p.m.

H. Power Outage
(Huntingdon County, 100 p.m., 11/13/03) High winds caused a power outage
affecting the Juniata Valley School District in Porter Township. The local
power company restored all service.

I. Storm Damage
(Cambria County, 113 p.m., 11/13/03) High Winds downed numerous trees and
power lines across Cambria County. The county Emergency Operations Center
was activated along with several mass care centers. The EOC and mass care
centers were closed at 105 a.m. 11/14/03.
The incident was terminated at 105 a.m.,11/14/03.

J. Collapsed Building
(Bedford County, 129 a.m., 11/13/03) A vacant building collapsed due to
high winds in Snake Spring Township. No injuries were reported.
The incident was terminated at 223 a.m.

K. Road Closure
(Blair County, 139 p.m., 11/13/03) Trees and wires downed by high winds
closed State Route 22 near Canoe Creek State Park in Frankstown Township
The incident was terminated at 431 p.m.

M. Road Closure
(Mifflin County, 200 p.m., 11/13/03) High winds caused a tractor-trailer
accident that closed U.S. Route 322 westbound in Armagh Township; no
injuries were reported.
The incident was terminated at 405 p.m.

O. Power Outage
(Lebanon City Wastewater Authority, 407 p.m., 11/13/03) High winds caused
a power outage affecting the Water Treatment Facility in the city of
Lebanon, Lebanon County. Metropolitan Edison is working to restore all
service.

S. Power Outage
(York County, 515 p.m. 11/13/03) High winds caused a power outage at Fox
Ridge Manor, an assisted living facility in Dover Township. The residents
were temporarily evacuated. The local power company restored all service.
The incident was terminated at 629 p.m.

Commission and PEMA Central Regional Office
T. Road Closure
(Bucks County, 529 p.m., 11/13/03) Downed trees and wires closed the
intersection of State Routes 263 and 32 in Solebury Township; no injuries
were reported.
The incident was terminated at 624 a.m., 11/14/03.

X. Road Closure
(Clearfield County, 657 p.m., 11/13/03) State Route 219 in Bloom Township
was closed due to downed utility lines; no injuries were reported.
The incident was terminated at 747 p.m.

Y. Power Outage
(Warren County, 715 p.m., 11/13/03) High winds caused a power outage
affecting an undetermined number of Penelec customers throughout the
county. The power company is working to restore service.

Z. Power Outage
(Erie County, 812 p.m., 11/13/03) A power outage affecting 2,000 Penelec
customers occurred in Fairview Township. The county emergency operations
center was activated and two mass care centers were established. Six
people were using the facilities. At 119 a.m. November, 14.the county
Emergency Operations Center was closed.
The SEOC will follow-up.

CC. Power Outage
(Montgomery County, 909 p.m., 11/13/03) A power outage affecting 3,000
PECO Energy customers occurred in Collegeville Borough. Power crews are on
scene making repairs.

FF. Road Closure Berks County
(Berks County, 1100 p.m., 11/13/03) Downed trees and utility lines caused
by high winds closed State Route 143 in Richmond Township; no injuries were
reported.

HH. Telephone Outage
(Berks County, 545 a.m., 11/14/03) Downed utility lines caused by high
winds resulted in a telephone and cellular outage in Hereford
Township. The local telephone company is investigating the incident.

Storm Report
The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory that was extended into
Friday afternoon, November 14. Sustained winds of up to 20 to 30 mph, with
gusts of up to 50 mph, are possible. Numerous downed trees have been
reported across the Commonwealth. In Snyder County several buildings were
damaged and roofs blown off. No injuries have been reported. The Public
Utility Commission reported the following storm-related power outages
* Allegheny Power 7,400 customers without power mostly in Allegheny, Elk,
Washington and Westmoreland counties.
* Penn Electric 60,000 customers without power mostly in Erie, Dubois,
Johnstown, Altoona and Lewistown areas.
* Met Ed 22,000 customers without power mostly in York County, Gettysburg,
Hanover and Strasburg area.
* Penn Power 900 customers without power mostly north of Pittsburgh,
Allegheny County to Erie County.
* Duquesne Light 2,400 customers without power.
* PECO/Energy 69,000 customers without power.
* PPL Utilities 48,600 customers without power.
* PA REA 17,000 customers without power.
PUC advised next report update will between 900 a.m. and 1000 a.m., Friday,
November 14th.
