Hard to believe that it's mid November and we are just now getting our first
real fall cool spell.
After a long hot, humid and very wet summer we have been cursed with a very
warm fall.
We saw some tremendous dewpoint falls yesterday and early this morning. At
one point yesterday afternoon we had a tremendous dewpoint gradient with
from north to south with 17 deg. at Tallahassee to 69 deg. at Tampa. At my
location in suburban SW Plant City east of Tampa the temperature/dewpoint
fell from 81/69 deg. to 44/27 deg.
The cold spot in the state this morning was 32 deg. at Cross City on the
north peninsula. On the central peninsula the cold spot was 39 deg. at Ocala
and East Nobleton. The cold spot on the southern peninsula was 56 deg. at La
Belle and Devils Garden.
Take Care,
Thomas F. Giella
