[STORMREPORTS] Thundersnow in Pennsylvania

From: Jesse Ferrell (WeatherMatrix) 2 (jesse{at}weathermatrix.net)
Date: Thu Nov 13 2003 - 11:17:35 EST

Vaisala's lightning detection network indicated several cloud-to-ground
strikes around 13:15 Z this morning in Southwestern Pennsylvania. Stations
in this area were reporting only Snow at the time.

Here in Central PA we have experienced both Snow Pellets (Snow's answer to
sleet) and snow flakes. There has been no accumulation at this time. At
least one of the Pennsylvania D.O.T. cams (SR 0219 {at} Meyersdale Bypass
Somerset Co. ) are showing a dusting of snow on the road and ground.
