            Friday we woke up to 4 to 5 inches of snow on the ground and
on porches mostly above 1250 feet in the hills south of Syracuse NY.
The snow made for some moderate slushy conditions for those on the way
into work. Getting below the hills a trace to light dusting was seen,
the snow was due to lake effect bands that drifted south from Lake
Ontario. Tempatures the last few days have been in the 30's with this
weekend to bring some showers and temps in the mid 40's to low 50's.
            Spring is only 6 months away.
