The cold front that moved through Eastern North Carolina on 10/15/03 in the early morning left many homes and businesses in the dark. With wind gusts of 40 + mph it downed power lines and knocked out substations with falling trees and limbs. At 10:05 pm all most 24 hours later there are still calls coming in about power lines down. Trees and limbs damaged by hurricane Isabel were knocked loose and fell to the ground in the strong winds from this front causing many still more pain as Isabel is still fresh in their mind.
