Hidi-ho good neighbors. Greetings from the toupee flying capital of the
world. At 11:38 AM this morning my homestead in the hills had a wind gust out of
the WNW of 53 mph. It is a new high gust record for the month of October
surpassing a surprisingly low record gust of 48 mph recorded on October 25, 2001.
This is the 23rd day so far in 2003 where the wind has gusted to 50 mph or
greater which extends a yearly record. The 1.43 inches of rain my homestead in the
hills received yesterday was not a daily record but it was greatly appreciated.
