Although no official Local Storm Reports have been issued yet by the NWS,
reports from the media, police scanners and word-of-mouth indicate high
winds have caused damage here in Centre County, Pennsylvainia, home of
WeatherMatrix HQ. Several reports of trees down and power out have been
received. For some reason the wind gusts were rather low at HQ, around 35
mph this morning. The University Park airport gusted to 44 mph and the
Penn State ASOS reached 45 mph.
