As of 0845 today, several reports of gusts between 40 and 50 mph have been
reported in the areas between Harrisburg and Gettysburg PA, the highest being 46
mph in Duncannon, Perry County. In Carlisle, many trees and wires have been
felled with many customers losing power. Morning commute snarled as a result
of loss of traffic signals. Here in Silver Spring Twp., between Carlisle and
Harrisburg, a high gust of 33 mph so far, resulting only in acquisition of new
Halloween decorations and a few new lawn chairs, but no loss of power (yet).
