Some of the year's coolest temperatures since spring have spread across the
nation yesterday and today. This morning, low temperatures were in the
30's over a wide area including much of the Midwest, Plains, Ohio Valley
and Appalachians.

Normal low temperatures for this time of year are in the 30's only in the
Northern Plains.
