[STORMREPORTS] Virginia Tornado Tuesday AM

From: wthark{at}aol.com
Date: Wed Sep 24 2003 - 00:48:06 EDT

A line of severe storms passed through Richmond, Virginia Tuesday morning.
One
storm became more isolated and produced a tornado(?oes) that destroyed homes
and downed trees in a several mile long path that crossed the region from
near
Crewe, across the city of Richmond and into the Northern Neck region. It had
a
preliminary rating of F1 though some footage showed damage of at least F2.
This is through an area already devastated by Isabel. Many homes still don't
have
electricity from Isabel and many lost their recently gained electricity
after the tornado. The event was totally unexpected. I missed it as I was
busy
bailing water out of my flooded basement (that was dry during Isabel) during
the
height of the storm. The event lasted from about 5:30AM to 7:00AM.
