>From The Australian:
A sudden storm swept through northern China, killing
11 people and injuring six others, the government said
today.
Strong winds and torrential rains hit Shaanxi province
on Sunday, triggering landslides that collapsed a
two-story building in the city of Baoji and trapped 13
workers, the official Xinhua News Agency said.
After four hours, all were pulled out. Two died at the
scene, while another five died at a nearby hospital,
Xinhua said.
The storm also brought down a wall that six workers
had been trying to demolish, the agency said. Two
escaped and four were trapped under debris and later
died, Xinhua said.
A few homes were also damaged by the storm, but no
other injuries were reported, it said.
