Here in parts of NW South Carolina, we were deluged with heavy rain
on the evening of June 18th. My station, located in southern Oconee
County, received 2.17", while areas to my immediate NE had totals
ranging from 2-6 inches. My daughter, who lives about 15 miles to my
NE, recorded 6.23"! Most of that fell in about 2 hours. Needless to
say, there was plenty of flooding taking place. Looks like a dry and
warmer weekend for the beautiful NW corner of South Carolina. The
mountains and lakes are beckoning!!
