Record Report for Temple, Bell County, Texas
for Sunday, March 30, 2003
The low temperature this morning at the local NWS reporting station in Waco, Texas was 31 degrees. This tied the record low temperature for the date that was originally set in 1975. The low at my station, located 35 miles to the south, was 33 degrees with a nice frost.
Seven other Texas stations also tied or set new record low temperatures this morning. The city followed by the new record, old record and old record date are listed below.
Longview - 29 degrees, 31 degrees in 1902
Lufkin - 30 degrees, 32 degrees in 1951
Tyler - 30 degrees, 30 degrees in 1975
Austin - 31 degrees, 32 degrees in 1944
Del Rio - 31 degrees, 33 degrees in 1987
Victoria - 33 degrees, 37 degrees in 1944
Corpus Christi - 36 degrees, 36 degrees in 1975
