Subject: Fog causes Fire
An interesting phenomenon in Madison yesterday during the
dense morning fog. Telephone poles ignited. The fog
reacted with the salt that accumulated during the winter
(salt that normally would be washed away by winter rains
that this year did not exist) to form a conductive goo.
Mix in a wooden telephone pole, and ignition results.
